The right car opens up a world of opportunities

Many people have experienced a dodgy car salesperson, but our Chrysler Jeep Dodge sales consultant Ashleigh Parr couldn't be further from the stereotype. She's a genuine person with a heart of gold who loves the impact she makes every day in her role.

"A new car is a big investment - besides property, it's one of the biggest investments a person or family will ever make. That means people are sometimes overwhelmed when they come in. I believe what I do is a great responsibility, and I always do right by my customers. I never push them into anything. I ask them what they're looking to do and what they'd like to achieve, then help them find the right car for their needs."

So many of Ash's customers have left an impact on her, but there's one family she'll always remember.

"This lovely family came in saying they wanted to have more adventures together, explore the outdoors and really embrace life! They never did anything with their old car and wanted to make a change. I said, 'Have you done any four-wheel driving before?' They were very interested and ended up purchasing a Jeep Wrangler. I made them promise to send me photos of all their adventures!"

"These days I get weekly updates from them! They're never at home anymore - they're at Byron Bay; they're at the drive-in movies with the roof taken off! It's completely changed the way they live their life, and brought them closer together as a family. It feels awesome to help people live the lives they actually want."

Ash admits she was hesitant to enter car sales, but hasn't looked back since starting.

"I'd never even considered car sales, but the sales team approached me and kept asking. Like everyone, I'd heard that old myth about ripping people off. I am not that person at all and can't lie! I was hesitant for quite a while, but in the end I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did - it's the best thing I've ever done."

"Most people sit at home on a Sunday night thinking, 'Oh no, I have to work tomorrow', but I go, 'Yes! I get to meet all these new people tomorrow!' When people are looking to buy a new car, they're so excited - I get to be a part of that! I love the energy and enthusiasm of this role. I find my work rewarding and feel very lucky to do what I do."
