On Wednesday 28 September, in honour of Lymphoma Awareness month, the team at South Brisbane Jaguar Land Rover hosted a Lymphoma Morning Tea Fundraiser, in partnership with Lymphoma Australia. This cause is held close in the hearts of the team, since their very own Service Advisor, Benjamin Longland, has recently fought his own battle with lymphoma.
A welcome speech from South Brisbane Dealer Principal, Daniel Bowden, kicked off the intimate morning, followed by Lymphoma Australia CEO, Sharon Winton, sharing a few words about what Lymphoma Australia does within the community and how important Lymphoma Awareness month is. We were then fortunate enough to hear from several Lymphoma Australia patients, including Benjamin, who bravely shared their own journey.
A thank you to a few of our special partners who kindly donated a range of prizes to the raffle draw, including a signed Gold Coast Titans 2022 Home Jersey and ball, Australian Wallabies jersey and various money can’t buy experience vouchers. We are thrilled to have successfully raised over $1,400 for the organisation, which goes directly to their Fund A Nurse campaign. This invaluable program affords the necessary funds for Lymphoma Care Nurses to provide support and care to patients living with lymphoma and CLL.
To finish, guests were surprised with a display of the all-new Range Rover. Guests were thrilled to experience the luxurious new vehicle, taking a seat inside to fully absorb the sophisticated design, and accompanying top-of-the-range features.
Thank you again to the team from Lymphoma Australia for allowing us to host your staff and special guests in honour of Lymphoma Awareness Month. We feel very honoured to have been part of such an important morning. To find out more, or to donate to the Fund A Nurse campaign yourself, please visit: fundanurse.org.au.
