As the 2020 Magic Millions comes to a close, we are proud to have again been involved in the iconic carnival as Official Vehicle Partner.
From the adrenaline and non-stop-action of the Gold Coast Yearling Sales, which ran for six consecutive days from Wednesday 8th January at Gold Coast Turf Club, to the excitement and anticipation of the Barrier Draw in the early morning of Tuesday January 7th on the shores of Surfers Paradise Beach. The Barrier Draw has become a quintessential Gold Coast moment, this year exquisite thoroughbreds and champion jockeys lined the sand, while the foreshore was transformed into a Breakfast Market showcasing a plethora of food and beverage options for patrons. Frizelle Sunshine was thrilled to be a part of the action across the carnival.
A brilliant display of horsepower took place on Sunday January 4 at the Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo, where major event partner, Ferrari, joined forces with Ferrari Gold Coast to host clients and friends in a stunning arena-side marquee. Guests were treated to five-star service, sublime cuisine, free flowing Veuve Clicquot, plus the excitement of the Polo match and a star-studded VIP guest list - including Zara & Mike Tindall and Rebel Wilson. Exquisitely decorated with high-end furniture and breathtaking florals, the ambience of the marquee was the epitome of luxe. However, the most favoured ornaments were the Ferrari 812 and Portofino which stood elegantly at the marquee entrance, creating quite the buzz.
On Wednesday January 7 Frizelle Sunshine Automotive were proud to provide an elite fleet of supercars and luxury vehicles for the Women In Horsepower event. The day begun with our very own Rebecca Frizelle, Chief Operating Officer of Frizelle Sunshine Prestige and co-owner of the Gold Coast Titans NRL team, joining forces with a panel of influential and inspiring women in sport at Nineteen at The Star. The panel consisted of Harvey Norman CEO and Magic Millions co-owner Katie Page. Delfina Blaquier, wife of polo player Nacho Figueras and co-founder of equestrian-chic fashion label, Acheval Pampa. And Zara Tindall, equestrian, Olympian and member of the British Royal Family. The female powerhouses delighted guests with a Q&A session conducted by sports reporter, Abbey Way. The group departed the Porte Cochere of The Darling at midday in an impressive convoy of Ferraris, McLarens, Aston Martins, Audis and Range Rovers (to name a few), bound for the stunning Rivermead Estate in Guanaba. At Rivermead, guests were treated to a heavenly feast, prepared and served by award winning chefs from The Star on the North-facing terrace of the homestead.
The Carnival culminated on Saturday January 11th, with The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday. Ferrari Gold Coast activated two vehicles at the entrance, greeting eager racegoers upon arrival to the Gold Coast Turf Club in Bundall. Ferrari together with Frizelle Sunshine were thrilled to host clients and friends within the VIP Marquee on the day.
Special thanks to our event staff, and everyone else who too was involved in making the 2020 Magic Millions Racing Carnival the success it was.
