Taking out the prestigious Gold Coast’s 2017 ‘Woman in Business of the Year’ was Deb Farnworth-Wood, founder of the Australian Skin Clinics Franchise and director of ASC Ashmore Pty Ltd – the first and original Australian Skin Clinic.
An experienced CEO with a breadth of operational and strategic management experience gained in hospitality, retail and health sectors.
Ms Farnwood-Wood received the coveted Award along with 8 other award winners and the Rising Star Honour and Awardees of Merit sharing in over $120,000 in prizes.
The announcement was made at the gala Awards 5th anniversary Luncheon and was attended by over 350 guests including; The Hon Shannon Fentiman MP Minister for Communities, Women and Youth, Minister for Child Safety, Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, The Hon Karen Andrews MP Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, Federal Member for McPherson and Women in Business Awards Ambassador, along with Deputy Mayor Cr Donna Gates, Mayoress Ruth Tate, councillors, Members of Parliament, city leaders and past Award winners.
