2022 Ford RS Owners Track Day

On Friday 22nd July, Sunshine Ford held their highly anticipated Ford RS Owners Track Day at Queensland Raceway in Willowbank.

Our Ford RS owners drove their Ford Mustang’s, RS Focus’, ST Focus’ and ST Fiesta’s into Queensland Raceway bright and early, in preparation of an action-packed day on the track. It was a full day affair, with the allocated time split into four sessions so each Ford owner could immerse themselves in the complete experience.

Supporting guidance was received from David Russell, the Australian supercar racing driver known for his achievements with V8 Supercars and the GT Championship amongst others.

The morning began with a side-by-side 'race against your mates', swiftly moving into car control and drifting techniques, Motorkhana vision steering and vehicle dynamics, and finishing off with circuit lapping.

A fun day was had by all, with the wet weather enhancing the already perfect drifting conditions – bonus! We would like to thank David again for his expertise and guidance, as well as our daring Sunshine Ford owners for their exceptional dedication on the day. These track days are an example of the perks of being part of the Sunshine Ford family, and we can’t wait to do it all again (which will be soon – we’re sure!).
